This past Tuesday I went up to San Francisco for the launch of the new Honor 8.  Honor is the young or young at heart brand from Huawei.  Many people in the USA many not know this but Huawei phones are the #3 brand throughout the world.  The Honor 8 is designed to be a phone for millennials with all the technology and features they want in their busy social lives.  I have been using the Honor 5X since its USA release this past January and I loved it so I was super excited to try the Honor 8!

The Honor 8 does not disappoint!  The 12MP duel camera is amazing and my photos are so vibrant. Some of the cool options are the wide aperture mode and the professional mode.  It makes taking the best possible photos a reality.  Other photo modes include food, panorama, HDR, Night Shot, Light Painting, Time-lapse, and Slow-mo.  Here are some picture I took to test out the camera.

I am very impressed with the camera thus far and plan on trying some light painting and star photography soon!  

The Honor 8 also has Smart Control 4.0 and to quote their website "Honor8 includes a separate infrared module with built-in IR codes for popular products, allowing you to control devices even when you are without an Internet connection. Honor8 supports 232,740 products from 5810 brands."

There are so many other cool features I am testing out but the best part is the price point.  The price is $399 and if you register before September 3rd you get a $50 voucher which means it will only be $349 for an amazing phone.  You can not beat that!
