3 Easy Bourbon Cocktails You Can Make At Home

To go along with the #IHeartBourbon twitter party I put together three of my favorite ones with links to the original authors.

Warm Bourbon Cider:  http://bit.ly/1qp3C82

This first cocktail is perfect for this time of year!  The recipe makes 20 glasses which is great for a party but I wanted something for just me so here is what I came up with.

Single Serving Warm Bourbon Cider

1 cup of fresh apple cider
1 jigger of bourbon
Light sprinkle of cinnamon

Directions:  Heat the apple cider in the microwave to your heat liking.  I like mine the same warmth as my tea which is hot!  When at desired temperature take out and pour in bourbon, sprinkle cinnamon, then stir  and enjoy!

Bourbon Old-Fashioned:  http://bit.ly/ZF2fgn

Classic and tasty is what an Old Fashioned is to me.  This a drink that is great to order out because I trust that most bartenders know how to make this and if they can not make this bar staple then go to another bar!  The recipe link above is pretty easy.

Mint Julep:  http://bit.ly/1vb5w0I

Everyone I know loves a mint julep!  It is a nice spring and summer drink that you can really drink anytime of year.  I order this instead of a mojito because it is light and refreshing and I LOVE bourbon!  Another plus it is not as hard to mess up like most bartenders do when making a mojito!

This recipe is really very easy to do and soon all your friends will be coming over to your place begging for a mint julep!
