3 of my best buds and I went to Chicago before Christmas this past year for a shopping trip. It was great! We did not get all the shopping done that we wanted but they have this Christakringle market by Macy’s on State Street that is organized by the city that was so fun. They even had spiced wine heated up…..yummm! there was just so much going on all over Chicago which surprised me since it was cold and snowy. It taught me a lesson to never count out a place because it may be cold there. The best part of the trip was our hotel room. We were located near the elevator and it kept making noises that made us laugh like little girls all night long. It was so good to be with other females away from all cares and worries.

4 of us from our neighborhood decided to leave the cold frigid weather of St. Paul and head to Vegas for an extra long weekend in warm weather. We are all avid knitters so after walking all day and night we would come back to the room and knit together like we do at home but it so much more fun because there was no kids screaming and yelling at us about food or help with homework. Our favorite place in Vegas was The Venetian we could just hang out there all day! Take the gondola ride you won’t be disappointed.

This is the perfect place for a girls weekend! NOLA has charm, fun, and beneights! Oh the benights at Café DuMonde are so great you have to try them. A whole bunch of us from work went there for Mardi Gras and to just have a great time. A great time was definitely had by all. We could let our wild woman side show!

The DC area is just gorgeous and amazing. Some females from family went with me to see the monuments and all that other good history rich stuff. What we loved most of all was Old Town Alexandria, VA. Tons of cute shops, restaurants, and oh my gosh the homes around there are amazing. We went on a cruise from Georgetown to Old Town and that is how we discovered this gem of a place. We want to go back to DC again and see even more and maybe find a rental in one of the Old Town houses and just veg out.
