We at Chick Vacations know that a lot of people are planning “staycations” this summer due to the high gas prices. Remember that there are so many places to have a vacation without really even leaving. Some of these wine festivals are a perfect example for those of you who live near these places or if you want to travel far to explore a new area and to have a great time with the gals.
The Von Stiehl Winery in Algoma, WI is having their first ever Ladies Festival July 12th which will include themed tents such as: Indulgence, Entertainment, and the Token Man Tent! They also have a new wine coming out called “Naughty Girl.”
The Aspen Food and Wine Classic is a pretty posh food and wine festival with wine and culinary geniuses giving cooking or wine tasting demonstrations. The date for this extravagant event is right around the corner June 13- 15.
Northern Kentucky Wine Festival is also right around the corner on June 7th from 2-9pm. They say the event keeps getting larger every year and that it celebrates the rebirth of the wine industry there.
Atascadero Wine Festival in Atascadero, CA is on June 21st from 11:30-4:00pm. The festival has grown since 1995 to have over 80 wineries. There is also a craft fair going on as well. The main cause of this wine event is to help Atascadero Zoo exhibits.
Bar Harbor Food and Wine Classic in Bar Harbor, Maine is a 10 day festival September 5th-14th that has something for everyone. There are extravagant meals everyday that are paired with wine. All events are easy to read about and purchase tickets for on their website.
New Mexico Wine Festival at Bernalillo is in Bernalillo which is a little north of Albuquerque. The dates for this festival are August 30- September 1st which is Labor Day weekend. This festival will have music, art and crafts, food, and of course great wines from New Mexico.
Texas Reds Steak & Grape Festival in Bryan, Texas is a celebration of beef and wine and the impact they have on their community. They will have a steak cook off, music, grilling exhibitions, and of course wine tasting. This great tasting event is June 20th -21st.
